About treatment sessions
Tri Acupuncture is the use of three effective modalities from Traditional Chinese Medicine. At the onset of pain, we start with “Battlefield Acupuncture” which is a rapid pain relief method. The second method, body acupuncture, is administered to promote healing, reduce heat and inflammation and restore neurological and cardiovascular balance.  The third method is the use of myofascial techniques.  Muscle stripping and trigger points therapy is applied to desensitize hyperirritable soft tissue points, promote therapeutic inflammation, increase blood circulation in the area and range of motion.

Battlefield Acupuncture

Battlefield Acupuncture, developed by Dr. Richard C. Niemtzow, is a rapid pain relief method that is used on injured military soldiers whom cannot receive any form of pain medication. Several points are placed in the ear with gold “ASP” needles until pain subsides to a pain range of 1-2 on a pain scale of 10. Needles are retained in the ear for 1-3 days and administered 1-2 times per week for two weeks.
